Interfaith Partners of South Carolina (IPSC) is delighted to show the award winning artwork of K-Grade 12 students from the 2016 ‘Peace in the Park’ festival!
Students in four age based categories were invited to enter creative artwork based on one of the following themes: ‘Freedom of Religion an American Value’; ‘Respect-Tolerance-Compassion’; ‘Be together not the same’; ‘Diversity is in our DNA’.
Representatives from the diverse religious traditions of South Carolina were invited to join local artists to judge the artwork, which proved to be a difficult challenge given the remarkable creativity of the young artists.
Please enjoy the artwork, reflecting upon the how these artists bring the theme of their work into their creations. How would you bring these important themes to life through your artwork?
Particular thanks is given to Pocket Productions, sponsor of the festival art awards, and the work of the Peace in the Park Art sub-committee, under the guidance of Dr. Will Moreau Goins.
