Vote on April IPSC Business

Below are FOUR important business items which need your vote. Please respond asap.
(thanks to those who have already replied by email to one item - doing this will put all our responses into an easily readable compilation)

1. I understand that our regular April IPSC board meeting is cancelled, and that our next meeting will go forward as planned on Monday, May 12.
2. I vote to approve/accept March minutes and financial report
3. Motion from Carli Harlow: At the last IPSC board meeting we discussed having a Call-to-Action statement that could be released to the media or read at rallies. Herman Yoos, Holli Emore, Sr. Meg and I agreed to meet and discuss writing a statement. On 3/29/25 we had a zoom meeting. I had a general statement written and we all dissected, added statements, and finally agreed on the attachment above. Other ideas that were discussed beyond doing a media release were having a link for others to sign a petition as well as having a place to add info on what religious tradition they were, their email address, and phone number if they would like further information on IPSC. We agreed that it could increase our presence in the community and possibly increase IPSC's membership. I would like to make a motion to approve this statement as an answer for IPSC stance on the situation we face today.

4. Urgent decision about our web site

Chad put a request to advise on our list a few weeks ago. Holli has been hosting our web site at no cost for all the years we've had one (since 2014, at least?). Her server host contract runs out April 30 and she wants to close the account as she no longer needs it for her former consulting business. NOTE that Holli is willing to continue updating our web site, but wants IPSC to open its own account. She has shopped around, and she also asked for an estimate from her longtime tech support person for her seminary. Dea Mikeworth is a very trusted and reliable partner. She writes this: Holli, It depends on the setup. I generally charge $300/year per site to host on my server if I maintain the server-side of things. i.e. the client does not ever need/want to log in at server level to make changes/adjustments. You would still have WordPress admin access, but not CPanel. But, I know you do server-side stuff yourself sometimes. I do have the ability to provision a “virtual server space” for clients (I have a reseller account). I currently do not have any clients set up this way. If you are interested in that (your own CPanel, etc) – I would charge a 1-time fee to provision the virtual server and migrate your sites ($500) – or, if you want to do the migrations yourself, I would waive this fee. Then it would be $120/year ($10/month) for the space if paid a year at a time – but, you could put more than one site on your space. But, with this route, if you need tech support or assistance with the server, I would charge my 501(c)3 tech support rate ($20/30-minute increment). Does that make sense? These rates do not include domain registration renewals. I know these aren’t the cheapest rates out there. The few clients that host with me pay the $300/year because they are not technologically literate, and they are paying for the space and my maintenance of it. The $10/month for a virtual space is less than you would pay inmotion for their second-tier shared server space directly (after the first year discount, their second-tier is $14/month). InMotion’s lowest tier is $11/month (paid a year at a time). We MUST make a decision on this as soon as possible. Please check one or two options.
